CARE FOR YOUR HARAKIRI JEWELRY
Harakiri jewelry is a treasured work of art, designed and crafted to last a lifetime. However, proper care is required to assure the lasting qualities of your jewelry.
The simplest way to clean your Harakiri jewelry is with warm soapy water and a soft brush (toothbrush). Avoid using any abrasive cleaners or anything with chlorine on your jewelry.
1. Dip the soft brush in the soapy water and gently scrub the item
2. Rinse the item
3. Dry with soft cloth (avoid using paper towel)
4. Polish the item
Always use the professional polishing cloth included in your Harakiri package, to ensure the jewelry is not scratched during the polishing phase. Apply cosmetics, hair spray and perfume before putting on your Harakiri jewelry.
You should be extra careful with pearls and gold filled jewelry, as direct contact with many substances may cause permanent damage.
Keeping your Harakiri jewelry stored separately will prevent it from getting tangled or scratched with other jewelry. Make sure your silver Harakiri jewelry is not exposed to air and light during storage, as this can cause silver to tarnish. Wear your silver jewelry on a regular basis to avoid tarnishing.
Avoid silver dip liquid on oxidized silver or you will lose the delicately darkened details of your Harakiri jewelry, brought by a light, on-purpose oxydation.
